Three Circus Pieces

This descriptive music makes it easy to imagine each circus scene - excellent for building student motivation. While ideal for a circus-theme recital, this music will add humor and levity to any program. For “Clumsy Clown,” the composer uses staccato and chromatic motion to depict a rather bumbling clown. “Funny Jugglers” makes use of contrasting articulation and off-beat accompaniment chords in 2/4 meter in portraying these playful and lively circus characters. Set in ¾ meter and featuring contrasting articulation, “Chicken on a Skateboard” depicts a tentative, yet tenacious, animal performer!
