Charlie Rides Again—by popular demand! “Jammin’ With Charlie,” the first chart in the Standard of Excellence Jazz Ensemble Method, is a perennial favorite and inspired this rousing sequel. Like the original, Charlie Rides Again is a straight-ahead rock chart and features a bit of counterpoint, rhythm section breaks, and an open solo section. As with all Kjos FlexJazz charts, this crowd-pleaser is scored at the easiest level and allows for maximum flexibility of instrumentation. All players have the opportunity to improvise a solo using only notes of the familiar concert B Blues scale or play the suggested solo provided in all student parts.
